Still lives are always instructive in trying out new painting techniques, but they also can be innovative and exciting in their own right.

In this one-day workshop, we will be looking at how we can make our still lives stand out by creating interest and visual movement. It will cover instruction in composition, treatment of light and colour, and how to deal with different textures, while also looking at various methods that turn ordinary objects into arresting paintings.

Objects will be provided, but if there is something specific you would like to paint, please do bring it along.
