This is the first time that we have run a course specifically in Gouache. How fabulous to take your set of Gouache paints to portray animals, birds, plants or landscape wherever you may be.
Clementine is very clever in her use of this medium and says, “Gouache is a fairly similar medium to watercolour except that Gouache is formulated for opacity, whereas watercolour is designed for transparency. This means that the medium lends itself very well to layering and is suitable for artists who are used to oil painting. It can also be used thinly like watercolour”.
