In my Thursday afternoon class we tackle any subject that I find exciting and we always include some drawing and some watercolour but it isn’t purist and students can find their own way and add whatever media they like. Our lessons on Thursdays with Christian call themselves Watercolour but we use many other media as well on our journey towards a satisfactory result. Today we Weill use collage, charcoal and gouache to get our hands and eyes accustomed to the subject before attempting a watercolour painting. A magical exhausting day in the studio with Adam d

A magical exhausting day in the studio with Adam directing the class. Each artist worked on a large piece of thick slightly grainy paper and, armed with charcoal, an eraser and a cloth, we worked into paper, really rubbing the charcoal in and then taking away and drawing in again. It was physically hard work but the studio was cool enough and we all had a great time and the results were very impressive. Thank you Puff for taking photos.
